About the LVMC

Martyn Gill from ASI DataMyte on why the LVMC is important for the industry

The LVMC is a highly focused and industry-relevant event, an essential date for your diary.

Since its introduction in 2005 the Large Volume Metrology Conference and exhibition has established itself as a key event in the LVM calendar. LVMC’08 will take place at Aintree Racecourse Liverpool on 4 and 5 November 2008.

The LVMC is a valuable opportunity for the large volume measurement community, including system users, engineers, academia, standards institutes and system suppliers, to meet annually. The two-day events combine conference sessions with a comprehensive exhibition of some of the world’s top measurement system suppliers.

The conference element is designed to be informative, topical and educational to stimulate further debate and to inspire ongoing personal development. The conference also serves to steer academia and standards institutes towards the relevant research and standards requirements.

Steve Shickell of Hexagon Metrology on the benefits for both delegates and exhibitors

Top suppliers attend to exhibit the latest large volume measurement equipment, which has included laser trackers, indoor GPS, automation, photogrammetry, laser radar and projection, and CMM's. The exhibition is a unique opportunity to speak with multiple suppliers in the same place and time, and to network with the industry people who matter.

The LVMC is a self-financing non-profit event, which we hope will continue to be an annual fixture. Its future is dependent upon both the suppliers who come to exhibit and the delegates who attend each year.
